Just Listen Review

Periodically,I'll update my Facebook status asking my friends what books I should read.My gal pals would always recommend me read something by Sarah Dessen. And I'll admit I didn't realize the urgency. But I was walking through the library, hoarding books like it was going out of style.I came across the book Just Listen by none other than Miss.Dessen.So,along with all my other books that I didn't necessarily need but was weak and caved into. And let me say,I am quite happy I gave into this book.Dessen grabs you from the beginning and hold you captive till the end. This book deals with real life issues like eating disorders and high school drama. In the future,I will just listen to my friends(ha ha) and read her books.

The soloist

So,I already saw the movie but I really wanted to read the book to see if it matched up.And I'm so glad I decided to read it.This book was one of those books that you can't put down. Its about Steve Lopez and his relationship with Nathaniel,a street musician in Los Angeles. He helps him a lot, which shows me that there is hope in society. This was one of the best stories I have ever read!
Highly recommend!

Goose Girl Review

I recently read The Goose Girl by Shannon Hale.

Ani is on her way to becoming queen. That is until her lady in waiting takes that away.Ani then has to hide as a Goose girl. She has many close calls. But she develops many new friendships that help her along the way. With much battling and much friend like sacrifice, she gets her throne back and finds love in the process.

Shannon Hale is a great author.I really can't wait to read the rest of the series.

Nights in Rodanthe

I recently read Nights in Rodanthe by Nicholas Sparks.

Adrienne Willis is lost divorced women. She escapes to watch over her friends bed and breakfast. There is a guest that checks in who's name is Paul.At first, they are hesitant towards each other, but then they slowly from a friendship that buds into a love affair. They brace a storm together, but there is something that tares their love apart.

This was a pretty solid book. This book holds true to Nick Sparks traditon. I recommend this as a summer read.
