Safe Haven Book review

I recently read Safe Haven by Nicholas Sparks.

Jo's life seems to be boring until a girl named Katie moved in across the street. They instantly became good friends.Katie soon shared her dark past. She ran away from her abusive husband,Kevin. One day,she went to the local market. There she met the grey haired owner,Alex.Slowly, they fell in love with each other and Katie also fell in love with his kids.Despite her happiness, she was still worried about Kevin finding her.A few days later,Kevin snuck into his neighbors house and found Katie's identity. He took it and started to look for her. After many days,he found her,Alex and his kids. After many complications,he died and they all lived in peace and were a lovely family.

Safe Haven is the latest book from Nick Sparks. This is the first book of his that fully deals with abusive relationships.I learned a lot about the phsycology in the minds of the abusers and those being abused. This book did not disappoint me in my expectations. He defiantly exceed them!

The Notebook Review

I recently read The Notebook by Nicholas Sparks.

Allie Nelson and Noah Calhoun were once sweethearts. They met
at a carnival and were very close until they went heir separate ways. Then,a few years later, the reunited.Noah was still single, but Allie was engaged to a big shot lawyer. They started hanging out more and more and their intense feelings for each other started to rekindle.Despite her fiance, she still continued to hang out with him.Slowly but surely, they fell back in love.Allie had to make a choice between Noah or her lawyer boyfriend. Then, the story flashes many years later.Allie choose Noah,Then Allie got diagnosed with Alzheimer's and they grew older together!

Ok.The reason it took me so long to post this review is because I was fretting it.Nicholas Sparks is my favorite author, but this is the first book I did not like by him. This book is too gushy for my liking and I don't agree with Allie cheating on her fiance. Also, even if it was not so gushy,I still didn't really even like the storyline.I'm sorry Nicholas Sparks!

Three Weeks With My Brother Review

I recently read Three Weeks With my Brother by Nicholas and Micha Sparks.

Three Weeks With My Brother tells about the Sparks brothers. They grew up in a poor household along with their
younger sister,Dana.Even though they always seemed to be in competition with on another, they still loved each other.Micha was popular and always got the girl he wanted. But Nick was more of a reserved, straight A student who excelled in track and field. But due to a damaging injury ,he could never run the same. Then,a series of tragic events occurred. While their mom was riding a horse at a local ranch, the horse flipped out, killing her. Then their dad died in a car crash an then their sister died of brian cancer. But despite all the tragedy, they both got married, had children, and were successful at work. While Micha was busy with managing,Nick started writing. On top of that,he worked with his mentally ill son to talk. One day,he got a call from his agent that Warner books wanted to publish one of his novels. That included tours. He was stressed out to the tee.But then he got a flyer in the mail, advertising a trip around the world. He and his brother decided to go together. They traveled everywhere from Australia to the Easter Islands. They both had a fantastic time together seeing the world!

I enjoyed learning a little bit more about my favorite author and different parts of the world, all in the same book!I loved how he seemed to put family at the center of the book! Also,I felt he put a lot of personal and emotional story's.I would highly recommend this book to anyone!

Dear John Review

I recently read Dear John by Nicholas Sparks.

Dear John tells of a man named John Tyree. On a leave of absence from the army,he decided to visit his dad in North Carolina. His father didn't say much,so he decided to go to the beach to surf. When he was finished he saw two very pretty girls with two guys on the pier. One of the guys dropped a purse in the water. So,John decided to dive for it.That's when Savannah and John fell in love.He later learned that she wanted to help autistic children. Then,he had to go back to to the army after his leave.Even though they were sending letter's,they still were somewhat distant.
When he came back on another leave, they got to see each other, they fought a lot. When he went back to Germany, two very emotional things happened to him.First,he got an earth shattering letter from Savannah. She told him that she was in love with someone else.(Which he later learned was their mutual friend,Tim.)Then, his dad died.He needed someone to talk to.So,he visited Savannah. He discovered Tim,her husband, had skin cancer. So,he sold his father's coin collection to put towards his funds.

This book was very interesting.I felt the emotional pain each character felt. This is defiantly not a feel good book.It is very sad indeed.

The Last Song Review

I recently read The Last Song by Nicholas Sparks.
Ronnie's mom is making her visit her dad in Wrightsville Beach,
North Carolina.Even though she was dreading it,she went begrudgingly. But before her and her brother went to their dad's house, they went to a local fair that was held on a pier. While everyone was doing their own thing,Ronnie, went to watch a volleyball match.Trying to retrieve a ball, one of the player's knocked soda all over her.She also met Blaze and Marcus.Blaze is a goth looking girl with black curly hair, and she always hung out with Marcus. He also had long black hair and he did these odd fireball tricks.so,thinking they were cool, she started hanging out with them.Marcus realized how pretty. That made Blaze jealous. But Ronnie just thought he was a creep.Luckily, she saw the volleyball player,Will, again while she was setting up camp to watch a baby turtle nest that was in her backyard. She asked him if he could put a barrier around it to keep creatures out.He promised he would. But when she woke up,she found it the same. She was angry at him.But he said he had called the aquarium were he worked to set it up.That was the beginning of a friendship.Later,Ronnie decided to look around town. She saw Blaze at a music store. She tried to tell her she was not interested in Marcus whatsoever, but instead Blaze framed her by putting cd's in her bag to make it look she stole them. She got caught with them.No doubt, her mom was furious due to her previous records, but her Dad believed her. After that,Will decided to take her
to his parents house. His mom didn't like her at all.But he still invited her to be his date to his sister Megan's wedding.Marcus was there and caused trouble, which Will's mom blamed on Ronnie. But at other times,Marcus even tempted Will by threating to reveal secrets about his volleyball partner. He also let Blaze catch on fire. That is when Will fought him and two of his friends. But nothing prepared Ronnie for what came next. While they were watching the turtles, her dad started throwing up blood. When they went to the hospital, they found he had only a year to live due to stomach cancer. When he died, she finished a song he worked on and used it to audition for Julliard.
I liked this book because it had a lot of tender moments. It also teaches that you do not know what you got till it is gone.
