Charlotte's Web Review

I recently read Charlotte's Web by E.B. White.

Wilber is the runt of the pig litter. The farmer was going to to kill him,but luckily, the farmer's daughter saved him.She would even frequently visit him.But he still needed a friend that lived on the farm. For some strange reason, nobody wanted to be his friend except for a spider named Charlotte. At first,he was shocked that she captured bugs, but then realized that's just the way she survived.Wilber had a fear also that he would be made into meat. So,Charlotte wove the phrase"Some Pig" into the web. This drew a lot of attention attention and they became local celebrities. A second time, she wrote radiant, which made them even more popular. So,he went to the fair!her last thing she weaved was,"Humble."Even thought he didn't win first place,he still got a prize. And it was all thanks to his friend Charlotte!

I know! This book is known! But trust me!I read it and fell in love with it all over again! This book is a story of selfless friendship and love. The way Charlotte took all of that time to save Wilber by weaving various sayings into her web is a perfect example.I know that White used
personification to make the animals more relatable, but I think I learned the most from them!

Marley and me review

I recently read Marley and Me by John Grogan

Marley and me tells of John and Jenny. One day, they got a golden lab from a local farmer. They named him Marley after Bob Marley. When they brought him home, they quickly realized what they got themselves into. For example, when he was riding in the car,he stuck half his body out the window while the car was moving.Even so,he was always there for them in times of need.Like when Jenny lost their baby by miscarriage .When their three kid were born,he showed them love, despite his getting kicked out of obedience school. He was their for them during their multiple moves. But then came a time where they needed to be there for him.As time passed,he got older,he grew less and less mobile. That's when they had to make one of the hardest choices of their lives. To put their beloved Marley.

I always go for books that have an emotional appeal and are real. This had a lot of things in it that were relatable and human like. Also,I love Grogan's style.even when he is talking about things that might not necessarily be funny,he puts a personal humor into it!There are some adult things mentioned here and there,so it might be good for older readers! But overall,Marley and Me was a absolute enjoyable read!

Princess in the spotlight review

I recently read Princess in the Spotlight by Meg Cabot.
Mia Thermopolis' life seems to be turning upside down. Her mom is pregnant with her algebra teacher's baby.(Which, ironically, she was failing algebra.)But to add to her confusion, while sick from school one day,she gets a mysterious letter from an anonymous admirer. Then,on top of trying to figure that out,she had to give an interview to one of the top news reporters in the country. She totally embarrassed herself and a lot of people at her school. Then, she got IM's from her mystery man. Also, her mom told everyone that she was going to marry her algebra teacher. So,her fancy grandma jumped in and started to pal an ever so fancy wedding, while Mia's mother was more into a low key wedding, which was on Halloween. After the '"wedding",she went to the "Rocky Horror Picture Show"with some of her friends, which she hoped to reveal her secret lover.
She really hoped it was her best friends bother, but it turned out to be her bio partner,Kenny.
I love this book for the most part.I found it quite annoying how the main character complained about her lack of breasts in almost every sentence, but I loved how all the women character's where strong willed individuals.Love it lots and Meg Cabot is a rare jewel!

Princess Diaries Review

I recently read The princess Diaries by Meg Cabot.
Mia Thermopolis is a flat-chested outcast. She has only one good friend,Lily. She spends her day daydreaming about school hottie Josh Ricther and flunking Algebra. To add to her already complicated life, she discovered her mom was dating her math teacher!Could things get worse for her?Yes.One day,her mother and father told her that due to her father's cancer, she'd have to rule his country of Genovia. That included "Princess lessons"by her grandmother and having a bodyguard everywhere she went.Word soon got out that she was to become princess, and she got on the cover of the New York Post. All of a sudden, she became uberpopular.Josh Richter even asked her out!But turns out he was doing it only to get in the news!Mia and Lily's older brother,Michael!
This book has a lot of girly charm!I love the way Meg Cabot did it and I simply can not wait to read the rest of the sires!

Three Weeks With My Brother Review

I recently read Three Weeks With my Brother by Nicholas and Micha Sparks.

Three Weeks With My Brother tells about the Sparks brothers. They grew up in a poor household along with their
younger sister,Dana.Even though they always seemed to be in competition with on another, they still loved each other.Micha was popular and always got the girl he wanted. But Nick was more of a reserved, straight A student who excelled in track and field. But due to a damaging injury ,he could never run the same. Then,a series of tragic events occurred. While their mom was riding a horse at a local ranch, the horse flipped out, killing her. Then their dad died in a car crash an then their sister died of brian cancer. But despite all the tragedy, they both got married, had children, and were successful at work. While Micha was busy with managing,Nick started writing. On top of that,he worked with his mentally ill son to talk. One day,he got a call from his agent that Warner books wanted to publish one of his novels. That included tours. He was stressed out to the tee.But then he got a flyer in the mail, advertising a trip around the world. He and his brother decided to go together. They traveled everywhere from Australia to the Easter Islands. They both had a fantastic time together seeing the world!

I enjoyed learning a little bit more about my favorite author and different parts of the world, all in the same book!I loved how he seemed to put family at the center of the book! Also,I felt he put a lot of personal and emotional story's.I would highly recommend this book to anyone!

Sarah's Key Review

I recently read Sarah's Key by Tatiana De Rosnay.

Sarah's Key follows two women,Sarah and Julia.

Sarah's Stazynski is a young Jewish girl living in Paris in the 1940's.She and her family were stripped from their home by the French police. In hopes to save her little brother, she locked him in a cupboard. But hope in returning to save him grows dim when they are led to a roundup.Everywhere around her was sorrow and pain. Then to add onto it,she gets separated from her parents. But she meets a girl named Rachel who she escapes with. They go to an elderly couples house. They gave gave them food and care. But the police found Rachel when she was sick and she was taken away. So,the couple and Sarah went to Paris to find her brother. But when they got there, they found him dead.

Flash forward to 2002.

Julia is a journalist writing about the anniversary of Velodrome d' Hiver. She does some research,at the first doing it because she feels she has to.But then she became some what obsessed. She learned her new apartment was the one Sarah used to live in.She also had personal problems.First, her husband,Bertrand,is going through a mid-life crisis. When Julia told her she was pregnet,he wanted her to get an abortion because he couldn't handle another kid. Also, she had a hard time finding information from people who knew her.But to her luck, she found Sarah's son,William Rainsferd.Unfortunately,he didn't know anything about the past of his mother. And when it came to the abortion, she didn't go through with it,resulting in her divorce.

I adore this book!I felt the pain every single one of the characters felt!I think it was amazing that she didn't go through with the abortion even if it meant losing her husband! There were some things I didn't like, but it was still a solid book. It's not a good feel book,so just keep that in mind!
