House Review

House is an intense, scary book co written by Ted Dekker ans Frank Peretti, both very established horror authors. This book tells about a group of people who get stuck in a house. In order to escape, they must give their capture one dead body in order to make it out alive.

This book has its very scary moments, but at times,I felt that this book ran in circles.I understand they were trying to escape ,but this book had a lot of fighting(verbal, not physical)over weapons and stuff. Also, this book had its odd moments where I was sort of confused.I may have over hyped this book though. My friends and critics said it was great and maybe that is why.I just was not as good as I anticipated.

Keeping the Moon Review

Keeping the Moon is a novel writen by Sarah Dessen.
This tale tells of Colie. She used to be the fat girl at school until her mother became a wieghtloss star.Over the summer, she lived with her Aunt Mira,an eccentric artist who everyone in the small town of Colby looks down upon. She also has many other adventures with Morgan Isabel and Norman, who work at the Last Chance Cafe.
This is the second book I have read by Sarah Dessen.I really liked it and this one is even better! This one is a light read about 200 pages.I really related to the characters in this book and wanted to befriend them through the pages!

The Book Thief Review

Long.Depressing.Inticng. These are words that describe Markus Zusak's masterpiece The Book Thief. This novel takes place in a small German town during Hitler's reign.Leisel lives with her foster parents. She starts stealing books from book burnings and the mayors wife. Also, her family hides a Jew,adding to the ever present danger! Overall, this book was enjoyable. Some of the morals are questionable, such as the young child's thievery and some of the language used by many of the characters. This is one of those books that defiantly need to be taken into historical context to be fully appreciated. There where some parts on this that were somewhat hard to read through, but I was glad I did. This is not a happy read for sure, and I recommend it for readers who have a sense of digression! Overall,I liked this book and will read more of Zusak's novels in the future!
